One Day

People always tell you, one day you will figure it out. 
At 20, I thought I did.
I would finish school, get a well paying job and live the rest of my life with my high school sweetheart, Katalina.
But everything changed when she broke up with me, left the state and never looked back.
Now nine years later, two weeks before I’m supposed to get married and my life is going as good as it can, Katalina shows up at my parents house.
With just one conversation, I know she’s hiding something, and I’m not the only one she is hiding something from.
We are not the same people we were all those years ago. 
We both are in relationships.
We both have changed. 
We are both in different parts of our lives.
But I need to know why she left, I need to know what she is hiding.
I have a feeling that whatever it is, it’s going to break me even more than ever.
She doesn’t know that I have a secret too;
It’s possible I never stopped loving her.
